Neighbor Versus Neighbor Fight Leaves One Stabbed

A man got stabbed in the stomach and hand after a fight escalated with his next-door neighbor, Des Moines police say. Police got word of the fight around 4p.m. Sunday, a spokesman said.

Officers say they found the victim at 1113 24th Street. They didn’t say what lead up to the fight. But they say the stabbed man told them his neighbor, Jesse Lee Taylor, 62, did it. T

Police found Taylor at his home next door and arrested him.

Taylor has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing serious injury. He is being held in the Polk County Jail.

Police expect the wounded man to survive.
