DES MOINES, Iowa – Newly released records obtained by the Des Moines Register show that a man was tasered by police 15 times before he died.

On September 22, officials were called to a home in Northwood for a domestic dispute.

Authorities say they found Michael Zubrod beating his girlfriend with a hammer and a pair of scissors.

Deputies say they used a taser to try to subdue Zubrod.

He later died.

An autopsy shows that Zubrod had methamphetamine in his system. It also showed he had a heart condition which officials believed contributed to his death.

The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide but prosecutors decided not to charge the deputies for his death.

Got to agree, he got what he deserved. I wish the deputies involved in this situation the best. Who knows how many lives they may have saved by getting this piece of crap off the streets?!

  • Dan

He was beating her with scissors and a hammer. Is she in the hospital? And it’s ok now for the deputy to decide whether to give the death penalty or not?
