DES MOINES, Iowa - It's the ultimate "Throwback Thursday", except it started on Wednesday. The Iowa Gas Swap Meet's 28th annual Collector's Convention brings over  500 quality vintage gas pumps, signs, globes, cans to the Greater Des Moines Area.

The "premier petroliana show", as the group calls it, brings buyers and vendors from around the world to Des Moines to show off their antique collectibles.

"I'm just checking prices," said Ken Carson, a Toledo, IA native and collector. "Good gosh, I'm not charging nearly enough for mine, compared to what I'm seeing."

The convention is free and open to the public, starting Wednesday and going until Friday. You can experience these throwbacks at the Holiday Inn Airport & Conference Center on 6111 Fleur Drive. Visit their website for more information on the show.
