Time-Lapse Makes Des Moines Look Awesome

DES MOINES, Iowa — If you don’t already love Des Moines, you will after watching this.

Brian Abeling spent four months on the time-lapse project as he visited many of the state capital’s attractions with his children, niece and nephews.

The five minute video is made up of 9,000 still images stitched together. Abeling says it can take up to two hours to record a five second segment.

It’s not the first video Abeling has shared. In February, he caught the northern lights over Iowa, in April a lunar eclipse was shot and most recently the National Balloon Classic.
