IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa Athletics Department has received approval from the Johnson County Attorney and the State of Iowa’s Office of the Attorney General on a program that will provide five students at the University of Iowa the opportunity to win $8,000 to be applied against their tuition and/or educational expenses for the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters.
The winners of the prize will be randomly selected from the collection of students who purchase a 7-game or a 6-game student season ticket. Students who choose not to purchase a season ticket but do notify the athletics department of their interest are eligible for the drawing.
Both groups of students have until 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, to accommodate any inconveniences experienced by students as a result of the suspension of the UI Athletics Department’s original offer on Wednesday.
“We are pleased the Johnson County Attorney and the Office of the Attorney General have approved our revised plan,” said Rick Klatt, associate athletics director for external relations.
