IOWA CITY, Iowa – Sorry Hawkeyes, the University of Iowa is no longer the top party school in the United States.

The Princeton Review released its annual list of the nation’s top party schools and Syracuse University took the top spot, with the University of Iowa coming in at number two. The University of California-Santa Barbara, West Virginia University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign made the top five.

In response to last year’s top party school ranking, the University of Iowa said it was taking steps to change the party culture at the school by educating students on alcohol abuse.

The Princeton Review surveyed 130,000 students on more than 370 college campuses.
