Congress broke for the August recess without finishing the Fiscal Year 2015 agriculture appropriations bill. The House of Representatives last debated the bill in June.

The House is considering a short-term continuing resolution in September that would fund the federal government at current levels until mid-December. That would set up a vote for an omnibus bill or another continuing resolution after the midterm election.

Fiscal Year 2015 begins October 1st.
