Eldon Man’s Death Ruled a Homicide

ELDON, Iowa — The death of a man found in a bait shop in Eldon Monday has been ruled a homicide.

Official with the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office had initially called the death of 64-year-old Darrell Teeter “suspicious” in nature. Following an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner’s Office, the death is now certified as a homicide.

Details on the cause of Teeter’s death have not been released.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office on the case.
