Man Pleads Guilty After Placing Cameras in School’s Bathroom

DAVENPORT, Iowa — A Davenport man convicted of hiding cameras in a school bathroom could spend the next 30 years in prison.

Ian Isabel pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to sexual exploitation of a child. He was charged in April after three cameras were found hidden in a girl’s bathroom at Hayes Elementary School in Davenport.

Graphic images of at least five children were found on the cameras.

Isabel faces 15 to 30 years in prison when he’s sentenced on November 20th.
