Univ. of Iowa Warns Students After Report of Sexual Assault on First Day of Classes

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa sent out a campus-wide notice to students on Monday following a report of a sexual assault.

The warning was sent on Monday, the first day of the fall semester.

According to the university, a female student said she was the victim non-consensual sexual contact on late Friday. The student said that the incident happened in a residence hall and involved an acquaintance.
