DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of a Des Moines arsonist.

James Galbo lit the Lighthouse Full Gospel Baptist Church on fire in August of 2012.

Galbo was staying at the church in the days leading up to the fire. He also reportedly told several people of his plans to set it on fire.

Galbo’s attorney argued some of the evidence used against Galbo wasn’t credible, but the court disagreed saying there’s substantial evidence of Galbo’s guilt.
