Cyclones Disappoint in Loss to the Bison

AMES, Iowa–For the first time in his career, Paul Rhoads faces real pressure as Cyclone Head Coach.

Iowa State tries to avoid a 2nd straight season opening loss to an FCS team, while North Dakota State tries to make it 5 straight wins over Division 1-A programs.

The Cyclones come out of the gate strong.  Two Aaron Wimberly touchdowns give the Cyclones an early 14-0 lead.

But after that its all Bison, North Dakota State puts up 34 unanswered points to finish out the game.

The road for the Cyclones doesn’t get much better next week.  The Cyclones host Kansas State to kick off Big 12 Conference play  Saturday at 11am.
