Out of Control Driver Hits Vehicles at Dealership

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Three vehicles at a Des Moines car dealership are off to the repair shop after an accident Tuesday night.

Police say a driver was headed north on Southeast 14th around 8:30 p.m. when he lost control. The car went over the curb, clipped an RV, and then spun into two cars at a used car dealership.

A witness watched it happen and says it was only luck no one was hurt.

“Big car coming down the road about 60 or 70, tried to cut in between us what you see left is his aftermath,” says Mike Burdett.

After passing field sobriety tests the driver was ticketed for failure to maintain control.  Damage to the three vehicles was estimated at $8,000.
