IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa Police Department is investigating its second and third sexual assaults of the school year.
According to crime alerts, one of the assaults was reported Sunday, the other on Monday. Both occurred in on-campus housing.
In both cases, a female victim says she was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance.
This was an issue last school year when a string of the warnings came out. Students demanded a zero-tolerance policy and more focus on sex abuse prevention and education.
