DES MOINES, Iowa — It has been the go-to guide for home cooks for nearly a century, and Tuesday a new edition of the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book hits store shelves.

It’s the kitchen bible, the one guide you need for almost anything you want to cook. In its 16th edition, the cook book includes more than 1,200 recipes and touches on grilling, making pasta from scratch, how to can and pickle, as well as cocktail making.

Author of the cook book, Jan Miller, Executive Food Editor, Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Media, joined us on the Channel 13 News at 4:00 Tuesday to talk about the book’s new features.
