AMES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Transportation will discuss a big Story County road project later this month.

The plan is to replace the bridge over the Skunk River just south of Highway 30 and the bridge at County Road E-57. Crews will also widen over a mile of I-35 to six lanes in the area.

The estimated $20 million project is slated to begin in 2016.

If you’d like to hear more about this project, a public meeting is being held December 16th. It’s at the Crossroad Baptist Church in Ames from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
