Police Searching for Person Involved in Chariton Shooting

CHARITON, Iowa – Police are searching a for a person involved with a shooting in Chariton Friday morning.

Police responded to the home, located at 1701 Court Avenue, shortly after 7 a.m.  Officers found a woman in the driveway who had been shot. She was taken to a local hospital, then flown to a Des Moines-area hospital for treatment. She is currently in critical condition. Her name is not being released at this time.

Police have identified Robert Graham, 45, as a person of interest in the shooting. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police said they believe he is driving a gray, 2014 Toyota Corolla with Illinois license plates V872014. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
