Central Iowa Woman Killed in Crash on Interstate 35

CERRO GORDO COUNTY, Iowa - A Traer woman was killed Thursday after the vehicle she was in was rear ended on Interstate 35.

The crash happened at about 12:44 p.m. near the Clear Lake exit. The Iowa State Patrol said Jolleen McCrary, 67, of Traer, was in a pickup truck that stalled in a lane of the interstate. The truck was struck from behind by a semi-trailer truck.

McCrary, her husband Mark and the driver of the semi were all transported to an area hospital. McCrary later died of her injuries.

The condition of McCrary's husband and the semi driver are not known.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
