Former UNI Panther Farokhmanesh Trolls Kansas Fans Over 2010 Shot

OMAHA, Nebraska — In the 2010 NCAA men’s basketball tournament Northern Iowa’s Ali Farokhmanesh stuck a dagger in Kansas fans’ hearts when he buried a three-pointer that gave the Panthers a four-point lead over the Jayhawks with just over 35 seconds left in the game. Kansas, the overall number one seed in the tournament, went on to lose to UNI 69-67.

Omaha World-Herald reporter Dirk Chatelain enlisted Farokhmanesh’s help Friday to troll Kansas fans who were in Omaha for the NCAA tournament. Farokhmanesh acted as reporter when he asked Kansas fans about their best and worst Kansas NCAA memories.

Farohkmanesh’s legendary shot came up but most Kansas fans didn’t realize they were talking to the man who sank the shot. Check out the hilarious interviews below.
