Hawkeyes 2nd, Ohio State Wins National Wrestling Title

ST. LOUIS, MO – The Iowa Hawkeyes were the number 1 ranked wrestling team for almost the entire season, but the Hawks will not be bringing home a national championship from St. Louis.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have already clinched the title before Saturday night’s championships even start.

OSU has a 10 point lead over Iowa, and the Buckeyes have 3 wrestlers in the finals, Iowa has just 1, Cory Clark.   Barring some major upsets the Hawks will finish 2nd as a team.

Iowa State’s Kyven Gadson will also wrestle for a national championship at 197 pounds.
