ST. LOUIS – Kyven Gadson is finally a national champion.  The Iowa State Senior capped off a great career by winning the 197 pound title Saturday night in St. Louis.

Gadson, no stranger to the fireworks, got Ohio State’s Kyle Snyder on his back in the 2nd period and picked up the pin.

The crowd went nuts, Gadson was ecstatic, pure excitement for the Cyclone Senior.

When asked about the pin matside after the match Gadson said “I coined that!  That’s the Gadson!”

Kyven’s father Willie died of cancer a few years ago and Kyven always wanted to win a national title for his Dad, no doubt Willie Gadson is smiling down tonight.

Iowa’s Cory Clark finished runner up losing at 133 pounds to Oklahoma’s Cody Brewer 11-8.
