More Storms Thursday, Some Severe in Eastern Iowa

Another wave of light rain showers will be in central Iowa later this afternoon and throughout the evening. There is a risk for severe weather in the extreme southeast corner of the state.

The threats with these storms in SE Iowa will be hail and damaging winds. Winds will be strong this afternoon from the NW gusting up to 30 mph.

Clouds will be decreasing tonight as high pressure builds into the region. The sun will return by Friday and Saturday with warmer temperatures. Storms are back in the forecast early next week with highs in the 70s.
