DES MOINES - Central Iowa has 1 girls soccer champion in 2015.  The Ankeny Hawkettes beat Pleasant Valley 2-1 in overtime to win their first 2A title.  It's the 3rd state championship in Ankeny history, but the other 2 titles came as a 3A school before the high school split in two.
Freshman Morgan Bennett picked a good time to score her first goal of the season, the golden goal game winner in OT.

Dowling had a chance to bring home their first state soccer title but the Maroons were denied once again, losing to Iowa City West 1-0.   Emma Cooper scored the only goal of the game for the Women of Troy midway through the first half.

Nevada lost in the 1A final 2-0 to Sioux City Heelan.  It's the 2nd straight loss in the finals for the Cubs.
