Ottumwa Man Arrested, Charged with Kidnapping and Willful Injury

OTTUMWA, Iowa – Police say a man has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and willful injury.

On June 12, the Ottumwa Police Department received a report that a male victim, later identified as Orry McClure of Ottumwa, was assaulted and held against his will. The incident took place at a south side Ottumwa residence the day before, according to police.

Officers from the Ottumwa Police Department then executed search warrants at three Ottumwa residencies on Wednesday. During their investigation, 38-year-old Fredrick Grace Jr. of Ottumwa was arrested at 1601 E. 2nd Street.

Grace Jr. is officially charged with first-degree kidnapping and willful injury. He’s currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond.
