SCHALLER, Iowa – Authorities say a man approached two kids near a convenience store on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, a teenage girl and her little brother were walking near Sparky’s One Stop in Schaller around 12:30 p.m. A white male in his mid-30’s or early 40’s then pulled up to the kids and asked them if they wanted to see a puppy. The children refused, turned around and walked away from the area.

The man, who was wearing an orange and yellow safety or construction type vest, was driving a small white pick-up. He is described as having light colored hair with a long butch cut.

Anyone who may know the identity of this person or may have seen this vehicle in the area is asked to call the Sac County Sheriff’s Office at 712-662-7127.
