DES MOINES, Iowa – The Truth Exposed Rally on Saturday brought about one thousand people to the State Capitol steps.

The rally, which was hosted by Iowa Right to Life, occurred as a result of controversial videos revealing that Planned Parenthood sold body parts of unborn babies.

Organizers say regardless of people`s stance on abortion, Saturday’s message was to agree that selling unborn babies is wrong.

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum and several other state officials spoke at the event.

Many are calling for Planned Parenthood to be defunded on a federal level. Locally, the group wants an investigation into any potential wrongdoings at Iowa clinics.

“We have some pretty good authority from former Planned Parenthood managers that the selling of baby parts is happening in Iowa and we would like Attorney General Tom Miller to open an investigation and make sure that isn`t true,” said Jennifer Bowen, Executive Director of Iowa Right to Life.

The supporters of Planned Parenthood also attended the rally but kept their distance. They parked about a dozen cars at the statehouse, which were covered in signs for the organization.
