Johnston Advances to USA Championship Game

Taylor, Michigan - Johnston (representing Central region of the United States) stayed perfect in pool play (4-0) and advanced to the USA title game at the Junior League World Series.  Andrew Nord homered for Johnston.

Johnston will play Southeast, a team from Virginia. Johnston won the previous meeting 9-4.  The championship game is Saturday at 4 PM.

Winner plays the international champion for Junior League World Series title Sunday afternoon.

No matter what happens this weekend, the Johnston community will hold a welcome home rally Monday at 7:30 PM, Johnston High School baseball field.
