DES MOINES, Iowa- The meal packing organization Outreach has brought its meal packing effort to the Iowa State Fair.  This is the first year the organization has enlisted fair goers to pack meals.

Each hour volunteers are asked to help pack around 250 meals in around 10 minutes.

The food which is packaged is given to the Food Bank of Iowa to help meet the hunger needs of local families.

Outreach is located inside the Varied Industries Building along the northwest wall.

Rick McNary of Outreach said the Iowa State Fair is a great place to get new people involved with helping pack meals for the hungry.
