Homeowner Injured During Des Moines Home Invasion

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating a home invasion where the homeowner was injured.

Authorities were called to a residence in the Drake Neighborhood in the 1300 block of 32nd street just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

According to dispatchers, a man armed with a gun forced his way inside the home and assaulted the homeowner. He was treated for a large cut to the back of his head.

The suspects were gone by the time police arrived.

Police say no arrests have been made.
