DES MOINES, Iowa -- Heavily-traveled Fleur Drive reopened Wednesday after closing down Monday due to flooding.

Des Moines city officials said the Raccoon River is currently receding, which allowed the city to remove the barricades and let traffic continue on Fleur Drive between Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Bell Avenue.

The city also reopened some trails Wednesday:

Neil Smith Trail
Pomerantz Connector Trail
Meredith Trail

These roads in Des Moines are still closed as of Wednesday:

George Flagg Parkway from SW 23rd Street to Park Avenue
SW 30th Street from Bell Avenue to George Flagg Parkway
East Border Street at the North River
