Deceased Man Identified in Nashua Death Investigation

NASHUA, Iowa — The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has identified a man who was killed on Saturday in Nashua.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Nashua Police Department and Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a shooting at 110 St. Lawrence Street in Nashua, according to the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased victim, 56-year-old Karl Phillip White of 110 St. Lawrence Street. An autopsy was performed and White’s cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.

According to authorities, the investigation to this point has indicated a possible accidental firing of a weapon by another person. However, the case remains under investigation.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
