HIGH RIDGE, Missouri — Forty-five Iowa National Guard soldiers are returning to Iowa Wednesday.

The soldiers were deployed to a Missouri town where severe flooding knocked out the water treatment plant. Soldiers have spent the past six days purifying enough water for the entire town.

Now that mission is wrapping up and they are all expected to return home by Wednesday evening.
