DES MOINES, Iowa — Temperatures will hold steady in the middle 30s throughout the day today, making for another chilly and gloomy January afternoon.

We’ll start the day with more fog/mist, so give yourself a little extra time for driving. Another wave of light rain is expected to move through before noon, with a few flurries possible after lunch. This system will move northeast during the day, so not much more than a few flurries are expected through Saturday.

The biggest change over the next couple of days will be the temperatures, which will drop off into the middle teens by the afternoon on Saturday — possibly not even making it into the teens on Sunday.
