From Newton High School,  a nice display of sportsmanship.

The Cardinals had the basketball game won on Senior Night when Winterset put special needs student-athlete Ryan Hinsch into the game.

Newton's Garrett Sturtz scored 20 points, but in this key moment, Sturtz turned the ball over to the alert Hinsch. Hinsch doesn't just play defense, he took the ball all the way to the basket and scored. The Newton and Winterset fans roared their approval.

It was two points for Hinsch, but a memory that will last a lifetime.

Newton won the game 70-50, but it was a night where everyone left the gym feeling good.
