WINDSOR HEIGHTS — No one was seriously injured Wednesday after a driver crashed his SUV into a home.

Windsor Heights Police Cpt. Derek Meyer says a 62-year-old Adel man was driving a Chevy Tahoe when he struck a house in the 1500 block of 70th Street just after 11:30 a.m.

The SUV came to rest inside the residence.

Police say a medical condition is suspected to be the cause of the crash.

The home suffered substantial damage. A roadway fixture was also damaged.

No one was injured inside the home and the driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
