WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Zombies invaded Jordan Creek Mall on Saturday.

The West Des Moines campus of Des Moines Area Community College held it's zombie walk at the mall for the seventh year. It featured zombies shuffling through the lower level to promote DMACC's Celebrate! Innovation Week.

The Provost at the West Des Moines campus says it's an event that used to be focused on technology and science, but now it's also focused on arts and music as well.

"We want to show that creativity, imagination and innovation can come from any direction, anywhere in life, not just technology or science, it comes from everywhere," Anthony Paustian said.

A total of 13 speakers will be part of ciWeek including Howard Berger, who won an Oscar in 2006 for his work on the "Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe."
