IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Federal investigators are headed to the University of Iowa campus Monday to investigate whether female athletes are treated fairly.

The Office for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Education has plans to interview the athletic director, administrators, coaches, and athletes during their visit.

The investigation follows allegations of gender bias in a number of areas.

No details have been given about the complaint but it follows an earlier one made by several members of the women's field hockey team.
