DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating a Git-N-Go robbery that happened late Thursday night.

The robbery happened just before midnight at the Git-N-Go at 4900 Urbandale Ave.

Police say the clerk identified the suspect as a black male in his 20s. The man was armed with a knife.

There’s no word on how much money the suspect got away with.

The description of the suspect in Thursday’s robbery does not appear to match the description of a man wanted in a string of other Git-N-Go robberies in the metro. The suspect in those robberies is described as a white male in his 20s and 5’10” to 6′.

If you have any information on the robbery, you’re asked to contact local police or Central Iowa Crimestoppers at 223-1400.
