WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Someone hit it big after purchasing a lottery ticket at a West Des Moines convenience store.

The Iowa Lottery says the winning ticket, worth $1 million, was purchased at the Kum & Go at the intersection of 60th Street and Ashworth Road in West Des Moines. The ticket matched the first five numbers of the Mega Millions drawing Friday night, the ticket missed the Mega Ball.

The West Des Moines tickets was one of only two across the country that won a $1 million prize in Friday’s drawing, the other was in California.

There were no winners for the Mega Millions jackpot Friday, so the prize climbs to an estimated $203 million for Tuesday’s drawing.
