AMES, Iowa — The Iowa State football team has a new helmet to add to its collection of options for the upcoming 2016 season.

The university revealed the new-look alternate helmets via social media on Monday afternoon in anticipation of new head coach Matt Campbell’s first season at the helm.

“As we start to build the culture inside our football program, we also want to be creative and add excitement outside our football program,” Campbell said in a press release. “The opportunity to have multiple options for gameday attire is great and our kids get excited about new and fresh concepts.”

The team says they will wear white jerseys and white pants when they dawn the clean white helmets for the first time.
