Summer of Free Lunches Starts in West Des Moines

WEST DES MONIES, Iowa -- Some West Des Moines schools are reopening its cafeterias' doors to students this summer.

Monday morning kicks off a summer of free lunches at West Des Moines schools.

The program offers breakfast and lunch each day to any child under the age of 18. The meals run Monday through Friday each week until mid-August.

Here’s a look at some of the locations:

  • Crestview School
  • Hillside Elementary
  • Indian Hills Jr. High
  • Legion Park
  • Rex Mathes
  • Stillwell Jr. High School
  • Valley High School
