One Person Injured in Shooting Outside of Des Moines Bowling Alley

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Police in Des Moines are investigating a shooting outside of a bowling alley early Sunday morning that sent one person to the hospital.

Police were called to Plaza Lanes on Douglas Avenue just after 3 a.m. When officers arrived, several people fled the scene.

Witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots in the area.

Investigators also found blood in the area but no victim at the time.

However, the victim later showed up at Mercy Hospital with a gunshot wound to their hand.

No arrest have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
