IOWA CITY - Former Hawkeye Jarrod Uthoff was not drafted in Thursdays NBA Draft, but Uthoff will have the opportunity to make an NBA roster.
Uthoff will play for the Sacramento Kings summer league team in Las Vegas.
Uthoff reportedly turned down numerous chances to be drafted in the 2nd round because he did not want to be a 'draft and stash' player. That means Uthoff would automatically have had to play in the D-league or overseas in his first year.
Uthoff averaged 19 points 6 rebounds last season for the Hawkeyes.
