An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect until 7:00 p.m. Saturday. Heat index values will be between 105° and 115° every afternoon through Saturday for a majority of the state.

A few scattered storms are moving through the area this morning, but most of the storms should stay east.

A few spotty showers will be possible again on Saturday which will provide some relief for the heat. Places that stay dry will still see highs in the 90s.

As this ridge of high pressure starts to break down, the weather will return to normal, with highs in the middle 80s expected next week. However there is a chance for more rain by Wednesday.
