DES MOINES, Iowa -- Delta Air Lines customers are hoping for a smoother day of travel Tuesday.
Monday, a computer problem at the airline’s headquarters halted flights worldwide for a full six hours. That left tens of thousands of passengers stranded – including some at the Des Moines International Airport.
Crowds filled the check-in area Monday morning, waiting for Delta’s computer system to come back online.
Tuesday is expected to be better -- but headaches remain as the airline tries to catch up. Delta expects to cancel at least 100 flights Tuesday and another 200 morning flights could be delayed.
According to the Des Moines International Airport's website, all delta flights are running as scheduled except for one -- a 5:40 a.m. flight which was canceled completely.

Robby Cooper said, “I made it here to Des Moines and got stuck for the night, and got up this morning to come here and fly out at 5:40 but I just saw I`m on another flight at 8 a.m. so we`ll see what happens.”
Fliers have from now until Friday to rebook their flights with customer service. Long wait times are expected, but Delta is offering a refund to those impacted.
Anyone whose flight was canceled or delayed for three or more hours can get a $200 voucher. That same deal has been extended to cancellations and delays Tuesday.
