DES MOINES, Iowa- On the First Day of the Iowa State Fair the Largest Boar was named.  “Fred” was raised by the Wikner Family from Farmersburg, in northeast Iowa.

“Fred” tipped the scales at 1155 pounds.  The Texas State Fair often has a bigger boar than Iowa.  They called and said, they have no animal bigger. Fred has now been named the world’s largest boar.
