WILLIAMSPORT, Pennsylvania - The Johnston Little League team won their first game at the Little League World Series on Friday 5-1 over California from the West.

J.T. Garcia hit a home run but what made it even better was the fact that JT's mom, Jen, was being interviewed as J.T. hit the home run. It was a moment that went viral.

Jen Garcia is battling pancreatic cancer and has to take IV's while in Williamsport. She says she wouldn't miss the World Series for anything.

The Johnston team has dedicated their season to Jen and her fight against cancer.

Johnston plays again Monday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 against Bowling Green, Kentucky, out of the Great Lakes region.
