HAMBURG, Iowa — The search continues for a missing boater in southwest Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says a man was swept under a barge in the Missouri River Sunday afternoon near Hamburg. The man was a passenger in a boat that stalled. The boat was swept under a barge moored to the bank.
Another man inside the boat was able to swim under the barge. That person was later rescued downstream by people on the banks of the river.
Officials say neither of the men were wearing life jackets. They have not released the name of men.
