Johnston Falls in Extra Innings to Kentucky in Little League World Series

WILLIAMSPORT, Pennsylvania -- Johnston came up short in their second game of the Little League World Series on Monday night, falling to Kentucky in extra innings.

After leading 3-2 in the fifth inning, Kentucky tied the game at 3 and ultimately won 14-4 in seven innings by overwhelming Iowa in the extra frame with 11 runs.

However, even with the loss, Johnston still remains in the double-elimination tournament with a record of 1-1 through two games.

Iowa will play their next game Tuesday at 2 p.m. CT against Rhode Island.
