The Pro Farmer crop tour is all done and the final numbers are out.
The corn crop is pegged at 14.7 billion bushels, about 500 million fewer than the USDA August projection.
Soybeans are estimated at 4.09 billion bushels, about 30 million bushels more than the USDA estimate.
Illinois has the top projected corn yields at 194 bushels an acre, while Nebraska tops bean yields at 59 bushels an acre.
Iowa was barely under those numbers, the Pro Farmer Tour says the state will average 193 bushels an acre in corn, with stalk quality concerns bringing down yields.
In soybeans, Iowa is estimated to get 58.5 bushels an acre, but Sudden Death Syndrome and other diseases could keep yields from creeping higher.
